INDIVIDUAL INVESTORS | Investment Philosophy
At Grinkmeyer and Leonard Wealth Management, we recognize that our volatile investment world requires us to raise our bar exceptionally high when managing investments. Our aim is to maximize returns and manage portfolio risk by combining a quantitative and qualitative approach with technical and strategic wealth management techniques.
Our Investment Philosophy:- Our investment philosophy begins with risk management. We will work closely with you to create a tailored investment strategy that fits your specific tolerance for risk and helps meet your investment objectives.
- Our "Core and Satellite" approach allows us to manage your core portfolio according to traditional asset allocation techniques while investing smaller satellite portions in areas that we feel are going to perform potentially well over the next 3 to 24 months. We base our satellite strategy on a given timeframe and where money is flowing in various sectors and economies along with our view of the overall outlook of the market. Together, the core and satellite portfolios are desiged to work together in maximizing return and minimizing risk.
- We take an active approach to managing your investments. Just as you maintain your yard at home, you must maintain your portfolio to ensure it is consistently in line with your needs and goals. Our independent research tools and investment platform gives us the ability to quickly react to changing market conditions and adjust your portfolios accordingly. Furthermore, we meet with you two to four times per year to give you insight into our management style, adjust our strategy if needed, and ensure you are on the right path to pursuing your goals.
- Because we are independent investment advisors, we are not married to one product. This means that we can create a cost effective investment portfolio while gaining access to top money managers throughout the country.
Although returns are not guaranteed, we feel that an active management strategy coupled with a well-diversified portfolio and an appropriate asset allocation can help reduce your investment risk, give you the opportunity for a potentially greater return, and position you to be more agile and responsive to world market conditions.
